Summary

Fieldwalking in 1989 recovered prehistoric flint flakes, a possibly Iron Age pottery fragment, a scatter of forty six Roman pottery fragments and a piece of medieval pottery. A medieval horse harness pendant was found by chance in 2000.

29 December 1989. Fieldwalking finds.
Concentration of Roman pottery at context 2 at grid reference; field otherwise sparse except for scatter of flints and one medieval? Sherd near southeast corner, context 1. Twelve flint flakes including one retouched. One dark grey handmade? Thick body sherd, probably Iron Age. Forty six Roman greyware, probably 2nd century? One medieval? unglazed.
