Summary

In 1989 several flint objects were recovered at this location, including a Late Upper Palaeolithic/Early Mesolithic blade, a small Neolithic polished axehead and a flake .

Found within area indicated.
1 Late Upper Palaeolithic/Early Mesolithic flint blade. Bruised dihedral butt. Identical to blades recovered on south side of Bypass bridge during its construction (NHER 24849).
1 Neolithic small partially-polished flint axehead and 1 flake.

The flint blade noted above was initially recorded as being from site NHER 24849. It would appear that this was an error - this site only being mentioned as it was a nearby source of similar material.
