Full Description
April 1990. Metal detecting. In pasture field 45cm (18 inches) deep.
Fragmentary remains of most of a flat pewter plate, distorted, rim diameter about 30 cm. Two shallow turned grooves in centre of upper surface, diameter 15 and 22 mm. Rim is type 1 of Peal's typology, see (S1). Late 3rd to early 4th century?
Identified by D. Gurney (NAU). To be photographed.
