1990. Found with metal detecting. [1].
Early Saxon gilt copper alloy fragment with human mask cast decoration.
Remains of stud? on rear.
Probably a mount rather than brooch fragment.

Copper alloy medieval square belt or casket mount, trefoil projecting lobe.
Surface decorated with engraved cross-hatching and 'ribs' on trefoil.
Three rivet holes including one with bronze rivet; larger roughly central hole.
Probably medieval lead shield shaped weight with three fleurs-de-lys in relief.
Weight 7.76 grams.
