Summary

A Neolithic polished axehead was found at this site in the 1950s. Medieval trackways are visible as cropmarks on aerial photographs, and medieval and post medieval pottery has been found by fieldwalking.

Rapid fieldwalking; probable concentrations but not picked up by methods used, good conditions.
Medieval unglazed, glazed Grimston, only 3 post medieval sherds; 1 lava quern fragment.
Subdivision centred at TF 7320 0410, Context 3.
Details as Context 2, medieval unglazed, glazed Grimston, only 1 post medieval sherd, 1 base glazed Lyveden Ware. Several lava quern fragments not retained.
