Summary

A Cold War Royal Observer Corps Orlit Post and bunker. The bunker, an underground monitoring post, was built in December 1958 and closed in October 1968.

Prefabricated concrete Royal Observer Corps Post and shelter, with underground bunker with air shafts/access shaft etc. Loacated 113m south of Fakenham to Norwich road in east boundary hedge of field subject to possible gravel extraction threat.

Underground bunkers date from after 1953.

Known as Fakenham post, built December 1958, closed October 1968. Externally complete, interior stripped, at some date clad in polystyrene tile. Orlit A to south good condition with sliding door and instrument mounting.
