Summary

St Catherine's Close was built in 1780 by Thomas Ivory, and completed by his son William. This former house is of red brick with black pantiled, and stands two storeys high. It has a pretty semi-circular central Adamish porch, and a good staircase in a curved well. The house is now the BBC headquarters and has later extensions.

Former house now offices. 1780 by Thomas Ivory. Red brick and black pantiles. Two storeys. Five bays. Central semi-circular portico with round arches on four columns. Sash windows with glazing bars with rubbed brick flat arches.
Ground floor winodws set in round-arched recesses. Bracket cornice and hipped oof. Good staircase in curved well.
