Summary

Part of the Maid's Head Hotel, this is a late 16th century two storey building, now shops, with 19th and 20th century alterations. It has a brick ground floor front wall, a flint and brick rear wall and a timber framed first floor.

Former use unknown, now shops. Late 16th century with 19th and 20th century alterations.
Brick ground floor front wall, flint and brick rear wall, timber framed first floor. Pantiles to roof. Two storeys, jetty to first floor. Irregular close timbering to right hand end, left hand stucco with mock applied timber framing.
Five modern shopfronts with sashes and casements above.
Two sloping roof and three gabled dormers.
Number 5 constructed as a long single cell building. First divided in late 17th or early 18th century.
Butt purlin roof is one of only two examples in city of type (the other at Music House). (S1).
