Summary

A timber framed block dating from first half of 17th century. The present roof is from a 19th century rebuilding. Number 27 has an 18th century cellar under a small back block of similar date.

Two storeyed 17th century building on the street line.
Full height flint rubble wall and a timber framed first floor wall.
It was constructed as a single-cell building with a gable-end stack and stack-side stairs.
In the 18th century these stairs were changed into a straight flight, rising from within the newly erected rear extension.
