Summary

This early 17th century single-cell building ranges along the street line. This building is timber framed as first floor level with a full-height rear wall and a gable-end chimney stack. The first floor ceiling is exposed and has noticably cambered tie-beams.

Listing Description excerpt:
"Former use unknown, now shop with flat above. Early 17th century renovated in 20th century. Rendered. Rendered timber frame at first floor. Pantile roof. Two storeys, jetty at first floor mostly covered by shopfront. Two first floor windows. 19th century shopfront with panelled pilasters, reeded consoles and fascia."

This building is amongst those listed in thesis (S2), which considers the 13th- to 17th-century buildings of Norwich. It is described as a two-storeyed, early 17th-century single-cell building ranged along the street line. It is timber-framed at first floor with a full-height rear wall and a gable-end stack. The one dormer is possibly original. The first floor ceiling is exposed and has noticably cambered tie-beams.
