Summary

This site comprises the surviving eastern and northern walls of a former chapel, of medieval or post medieval date. The chapel was construced of flint with ashlar dressings, and has received repairs in brick. There remains one doorway from the Norman period, with a semi-circular arch to the internal face of the wall, and the remnants of a late medieval east window with tracery stubs. A coin or coins from the Late Saxon period have also been recovered from this site.

"St Mary Magdalen's Church, Oxborough Hythe.
Surviving eastern and northern walls of a former chapel. Medieval and later. Flint with ashlar dressings and brick repairs. One Norman doorway with semi-circular arch to internal face of wall reduced in brickwork to external face. Remains of a late medieval east window with tracery stubs."

Ruined church perhaps Norman and Early English, 18th century. Late Saxon coin or coins found.
