Summary

These buildings now operate as shops. Together they have eight bays, with four projecting, and feature 20th century shopfronts. During renovation work here the rear wall of the three storeyed, late 18th century building was exposed. This revealed a two storeyed, 16th century timber frame with one window.

Listing Description Excerpt:
"Shops. Late 18th century. Painted brick and plain tile roof. Three storeys plus attic. 8 bays with centre four projecting. 20th century shop fronts. Sash windows throughout with glazing bars and rubbed brick flat arches. Heavy box cornice with flat modillions. Six sloping-roof dormers and one double-dormer with gable."
