Full Description
No 3 Magdalen Street/Fishergate.
Six test pits (five within the building) excavated by developers.
Archaeological deposits observed from 0.70 below ground surface.
Wet deposits at 2.5m below floor level behind No 15 Magdalen Street.
Test Pit 3: next to west wall of existing structure, building destruction/construction material, mortar, oyster shell and charcoal fleck.

Listing Description Excerpt:
"No 3 Magdalen Street.
Formerly listed with Nos 1 and 3A.
Shop. Mid 19th century. Rendered brickwork. Pantile roof. Three storeys. Three bays. 20th century glazed shopfront. Sash windows with glazing bars in plain reveals. Modillion cornice."
