Summary

This building forms part of the Maids Head Hotel complex. It is constructed of red bricks laid in English Bond, and is orientated at right-angles to, and away from, Wensum Street. Dating to the 18th century, the internal structure has been altered in the 19th century. The ground floor is now one large open space, and two thirds of the way along the building there are two decorative cast iron columns which were inserted when the stack was removed.
