1966. Stray Find.
Found about 800 yards [730m] south-west of Vale Farm:
1 Palaeolithic ovate flint handaxe. See sketch (S1).
Information from (S2).
This discovery was first reported in (S3) and is also briefly described on (S4). Although originally listed as a handaxe this object was subsequently described as a cleaver in (S5). This find is also listed in (S6) and (S7), although no additional information is given.
