Full Description
2 August 1977. RCHM (Royal Commission on Historical Monuments) aerial photograph.
Cropmark of rectangular enclosures predating field systems.
S. Norton, 11 October 1990
22 July 1996. NLA air photography.
Previously recorded cropmarks visible.
In addition to this, cropmarks of linear features can be seen, some of which appear fairly modern and are most probably drains connected to the current fields, etc. There are also further enclosures visible as cropmarks. Circular marks can also be seen, which most probably relate to stack stands (Riley circles) with a broadly medieval date.
H. Clare (NLA), 4 January 2002.
