Full Description
1968. Context 1.
East of church, surface finds medieval sherds (wrongly noted as 'MISC sherds' on NCM map).
P. Wade-Martins (NAU), 1968.
March 1989. Area extended to south-west over field known as camping ground from ancient type of football.
Fieldwalking finds, both from contexts 1 and 2 undifferentiated.
One Ipswich pimply base
One Ipswich sandy base
One medieval unglazed bowl rim.
April 1989.
Further finds of one pimply Ipswich, one late Thetford-type sherd, one medieval unglazed; one unidentified.
No significant metal finds.
Poor conditions.

Also Middle Saxon/Late Saxon wedge shaped strap end similar to site NHER 6033 (small find 81).
