Full Description
May 1947.
Neatherd Moor on heath about 52m (170 feet) OD. Clarke's Acre 27m to 37m (30 to 40 yards) east of site NHER 2843 extends both sides of lodge and ditch.
Hearths of charcoal and calcined flint found by [1].
June 1947.
Charcoal examined by Royal Botanical Gardens Kew 9 June 1947 and identified as Alder (Alrias glutiose) but might be Hazel (Corylus avellena). Other charcoal was Oak.

February 1990. Metal detecting.
Post medieval silver plated copper alloy core, contemporary forgery of a hammered half crown of Charles II issued between January 1662 and November 1662. XXX behind the head = 30d. The whole of the inscription has been cut away.
