Full Description
High House.
Formerly in isolated position north of village yet set at right angles to street. Listed building description describes as 17th century timber frame with close studding, exposed on first floor. Brick faced ground floor, and west end plastered. Later roof. 19th century first floor oriel in east wall projects to road.
Seen by E. Rose from road on several occasions, there appear to be arched or serpentine wallbraces on first floor of a style that would rather suggest a 16th century date, however photo in (S1) does suggest a 17th century date.
E. Rose (NLA), 11 October 1991
June 1981. Listed, Grade II.
