Summary

Fieldwalking here during 1991 recovered sherds of Iron Age, Roman, Early Saxon and medieval pottery along with pieces of Roman and medieval tile. Subsequent metal detecting on site during 1992 retrieved a Roman dolphin brooch and a possible lead Roman pot mend.

Early 1992. Metal detector finds.
Roman dolphin brooch mid 1st century. D-sectioned bow with median rib Spring and pin missing; inner end of bow and catchplate missing.
Lead disc attached to oxidised probable Roman pot sherd, possibly pot mend.
