Summary

Fieldwalking here during 1991 recovered a Neolithic knife along with sherds of Iron Age, Roman and medieval pottery. A number of earthworks have also been reported in this area, to the north of Purdy House. These take the form of a building platform and banks up to 1m high, which suggest farm buildings once stood here.
