Summary

Fieldwalking recovered pieces of Iron Age, Middle Saxon, medieval and post medieval pottery. This is the site of a possible Middle Saxon settlement and a declining medieval settlement.

(S2) describes as evidence for Middle Saxon and post medieval activity. Some stonewares were found. A Middle Saxon settlement seems likely despite the small number of finds. The small quantity of medieval finds mirrors a declining settlement.
