Summary

Fieldwalking in 1987 recovered evidence suggesting the presence of a Roman period building. As this area encompasses the areas of NHER 24053 and NHER 28671, it seems likely that these refer to the same building, identified as a possible Roman villa. Metal detecting in 1999 also recovered further Roman coins and metal objects, as well as Saxon, medieval and post medieval metal objects and Neolithic flint objects.
