Summary

Metal detecting in an area of South Creake in 1992-94, 2003 and 2004-7 recovered a large collection of metal objects and pottery sherds. The most noteworthy find was a hoard of Bronze Age sword blades and spearheads. This hoard was probably part of a larger hoard in the area (NHER 1944). Other finds included Roman pottery sherds, prehistoric worked flints and a post medieval belt fitting.
