Full Description
Late 1991. General finds from field. 'Hindringham' 46.
One jar rim, probably Roman greyware.
One base sherd Ipswich Ware found close to fragments of molten bronze, ?date.
Medieval harness buckle, gilt bronze, D shaped with integral attachment plate with two rivets and rosette terminal. Frame has 'bar shaped' outer edge.
Conical bronze terminal, transversely pierced near tip, with collar; rest broken off. Late Saxon or medieval?

February-March 2006. Watching Brief and Metal-detecting Survey.
Monitoring and metal-detecting undertaken during topsoil stripping and trenching for Binham to Houghton St Giles water pipeline (Collection Units 253-264).
Finds comprised prehistoric worked flints including flakes, a retouched flake and a scraper. A copper alloy post-medieval buckle and a button were also found here.
