Full Description
29 June 1992. NAU Air Photography.
Cruciform church with apsidal east end and possible chapel on south side of chancel.
Cut by later field boundary.

Coxford Priory was founded in East Rudham village and moved to its present site (NHER 3632) in 1216.
Is this the original priory church?

But [1] suggests it is the site of Boycodeswade Hospital (see NHER 3634).
If so, where was the 'wade' or ford?
However [1] later abandoned idea and suggests instead it is the site of a second parish church of East Rudham, see notes in file.

Late Saxon box mount. One hole in trefoil apex. Copper alloy rivet with circular rove, through hole in centre of flange at base. Flange is shorter than base. Iron stain on reverse. Cast quadruped in relief.
