Summary

In 1992 a fieldwalking and metal-detecting survey along the route of a pipeline recovered worked flint and pot boilers. Aerial photographs also show the cropmarks of what seems to be a very small ring ditch; the latter is now recorded as part of NHER 63619.

On northern edge of scatter, incredibly tiny ring ditch; far too small for a conventional barrow; shows as cropmark on RAF air photography. Ancient? But note to west in road from what must be a charcoal burning oven or something similar, of the same diameter.
