Summary

Medieval pottery fragments were found on the surface of this field in 1991. Metal-detecting in 2017 and 2023 recovered Roman pottery sherds; medieval and post-medieval coins and a number of other, Late Iron Age/Roman to post-medieval metal objects. These metal finds include a Late Iron Age/Roman brooch fragment; a Roman brooch; Early Saxon brooches; a medieval mirror case; a medieval/post-medieval copper alloy vessel fragment and post-medieval buckles.
