Summary

Metal detecting from 1993 to 1995 recovered Roman, Late Saxon, medieval and post medieval artefacts. They include Roman coins, a Roman terret, a Roman brooch, a 10th century trefoil brooch and two Late Saxon strap ends.

1994. Metal detecting.

Rear hook brooch - mid/late 1st century AD.
13th century buckle plate - gilt.
Late 15th century strap end hook.
Medieval ?ring-brooch with three of four projecting stylised animal heads, each with a sunken circular setting above the eyes, once set with a gem or a glass pellet? The animal heads are rather flat, with upturned muzzles, and small ears and eyes.
Frechen sherd.

1995. Metal detecting.
Medieval belt mount, scalloped edge, four rivet holes, letters IHC.
Medieval ring-brooch with projecting bosses each punched with three dots, grooved pin rest.
Medieval buckle with flat rectangular expanded pin rest.
Late medieval/early post medieval 'd' looped buckle with scalloped edges and pairs of engraved transverse lines.
16th century hooked tag with bearded face, hook broken off.
