Full Description
Hydraulic ram and associated valve reported to B. Cushion (NLA) by farm manager.
Visible, metal pipe 1m plus high, manufactured in Kilmarnock. Said to have provided water for cattle trough and North Barningham Hall one mile to the southeast. This seems highly improbable.
At approximately TG 1512 3979 a covered brick chamber with so called non return valve, manufactured in Rotherham (20th century bricks). Casing has incised lettering KB B188B.
Concrete pillar, thinner but near height of Ordnance Survey Trigonometry pillar nearby with unidentified letters/figures on top.
