Summary

A pathway of late medieval bricks leading to a brick curb was excavated in 1993. It is thought the path led to a barn that has since disappeared.

March 1993. Excavated by E. Rose (NLA) and [1].
Brick path or floor leading to brick curb within which fragments of coal and quantities of post medieval roofing tile. Bricks of late medieval type.
Perhaps associated with the 'garner by the haven' mentioned in the Bacon papers for 1572, which may have stood until the 19th century.
