Summary

Two Neolithic or Bronze Age flaked flint axeheads were recovered from a foundation trench in 1985.

Found in about 1985. At bottom of foundation trench, one above the other, for new house on executive estate by [1].
Two flint axes, chipped.
One (a) in grey flint with patches of coarser grained flint.
This section and straight sides suggests possibly influenced by Early Bronze Age axe shape (two patches of cortex on one face).
Other (b) in very pale slightly bluish grey flint with coarser grained flint patches.
Both very fresh and sharp, either unused or freshly sharpened.
