Manuscript of 1427 (S1) detailing parish boundary of Necton (translation in Necton parish file) refers to 'a certain old cross called Goodalescros' at the point where the parish boundary leaves the Heydyche, a 'high bank', to join the Walsingham Way (the Roman road).
