Map

May 1993.
Found in pothole in drove (public bridleway) leading to heath, recently infilled by adjacent landowner with mixture of flints and bricks.
Lump of lava quern or millstone, ribbed on one face, 125mm by 85mm by 50mm thick.
Could be part of a Cologne millstone according to A. Rogerson (NLA).
Rubble for infill was acquired from farms all over Norfolk owned by source [1] and collected together; but also includes material from restoration of Mill Farm, Hindringham; so possible connection with windmill there.
