Summary

Metal detecting in the parish has recovered Roman, medieval and post medieval finds including Roman coins, a Roman buckle, two Roman box or furniture mounts, a Roman Hod Hill brooch, a Roman spoon bowl, a medieval pin, a post medieval farthing of Charles I, a post medieval hooked tag and a 16th century book clasp.

Unlocated on High Ash Farm lands.
Sixteen Roman coins.
Fragment of late Roman openwork buckle, transverse attachment loop at one end.
Box or furniture knob, Roman. Circular with concentric incised lines and concave upper surface, copper alloy.
Hod Hill type brooch, 1st century AD, pin and catch plate missing.
Charles I farthing.

Roman copper alloy spoon bowl, round bowl type, second half 1st to 2nd century.
Roman copper alloy furniture/box knob, concave with central boss.
?Medieval copper alloy pin with globular head with short shank, length 13mm.
16th century hooked tag, openwork 'rosette', hook broken.
16th century book clasp decorated with three double rings and dots.
