Map

16th or 17th century barn, timber framed with finely detailed wallposts supporting the tiebeams by arched braces. Queen struts. Wattle and daub infill. Remains of contemporary stable. Another timber framed stable, formerly a smithy, may be the original farmhouse; it has an ornately carved bressumer reset over the forge. Other buildings later.
Information from (S1) in file.
E. Rose (NLA), 6 September 1993.

(S2) in file indicates the main barn has long raking braces of a type that are usually found in the late 17th or 18th century; the arched braces also seem quite crude; suggesting a date a century later than suggested in (S1).
E. Rose (NLA), 22 October 2005.
