Summary

Metal detecting during 1993-95 recovered various objects including a Bronze Age pin, a medieval harness bridle boss and a post medieval coin of Elizabeth I. Further detecting in 2009 recovered Roman, medieval and post medieval coins and post medieval pottery.

Decorated swollen necked looped Bronze Age pin (top damaged, loop and tip missing), (S1 and S2).
Medieval fragment of double looped buckle.
Medieval brooch/buckle ring?
Possible medieval rectangular belt hasp.
Late medieval or early post medieval harness mount, two spikes on reverse in form of trefoil with heart shape opposite.

March 1994. Metal detecting.
Early post medieval belt stud.

1995. Metal detecting.
Medieval tanged belt slide with moulding on top edge.
Late medieval harness 'bridle boss' consisting of disc, central boss and outer flange. Three rosette headed studs in flange and one in boss. Traces of gilding, concentric circles on flange and engraved ornament (foliage, running scrolls). Polaroid (S2) in file.
Early post medieval topless thimble.
Early post medieval hooked fitting and ring from sword belt.
Post medieval harness slide.
Possible medieval pot mend.
