Various objects recovered from area of old O.S fields 447, 448, 450 and 451(Curtis Field 70).
1954. Stray Find.
Found by F. Curtis at TL 7116 8785:
1 Mesolithic flint blade core (Coll. No. 678).
Information from (S1). Also described in (S2).

1951-1957. Stray Find.
Curtis' catalogue lists a number of additional finds that were also found in this field (F36), but for which little additional information is given. The worked flints listed in (S1) and (S3) are as follows:
3 Mesolithic microliths.
1 Early Neolithic leaf arrowhead.
1 'harpoon barb' - probably a Neolithic transverse petit tranchet arrowhead.
2 Neolithic triangular arrowheads.
2 Neolithic ground axes.
2 Late Neolithic/Early Bronze Age barbed and tanged arrowheads. One identifiable from an NCM photograph as a serrated Conygar type.
6 'slug knives' - probably Late Neolithic/Early Bronze Age plano-convex knives.
8 borers.
6 scrapers.
1 'saw'.
1 chisel. Found at TL 7104 8766. Has two central areas of polish on one face as if made from a ground axe. Identifed by F. Healy (NAU).
3 fabricators.
