Summary

An early 20th century Arts and Crafts-style architectural garden by Edwin Lutyens in collaboration with the owners Lord and Lady Battersea, originally covering about 20 hectares, now reduced to about 2.5 hectares.

Historic Garden Grade II (S1).
By Lutyens, 1897-9 but no direct evidence of Gertrude Jekyll being involved. North terrace wall with steps to lawn, views to sea.
Octagonal pavilion to west. Covered walk runs south parallel with house. Paved pool garden to west. Lawn, shrubbery and mature trees to south. Further west is rose garden with brick and stone walls.
