Summary

A 1990 aerial photograph shows the cropmarks of various linear features. Metal detecting in 1994 recovered an inscribed medieval silver seal matrix with a suspension loop.

1994. Metal detecting.
Silver circular seal matrix, 15th century, with 5-petalled flower, and very neat legend: SIGILLVM CHRISTINE DE WATTONE. Facetted handle with collar and trefoil terminal, through which is attached a suspension loop. 15cm (6 inches) deep.
