Summary

The brick stable here dates to the 18th century and has a cart shed entrance and hayloft. The stable is attached to the remains of a brick barn dating to around 1700. The adjacent farmhouse was rebuilt in 1811.

Church Farmhouse
September 1987. Listed, Grade II.
Listing Description Excerpt:
"Farmhouse. Dated 1811 (R. Cooke) on west gable. Earlier 18th century cross wing to rear. Red brick with gault brick facade. Roof of black glazed pantiles. Facade of 2 storeys in 3 bays. Central 20th century half glazed door in timber case."

Stable block at Church Farm
September 1987. Listed, Grade II.
Listing Description Excerpt:
"Stables and granary. 18th century. Rendered and colourwashed brick with pantile roof. 2 storeys. Loose box door left of centre and cartshed entry to right. 3 barred stable windows. Central hay loft door above. Gabled roof. Interior of loose boxes with re-used 16th century roll moulded bridging beam and joists."

The stable is attached to the remains of a brick barn of around 1700, much altered. To the west is a shire horse stable of the 18th century.

February 2006. Building Survey.
The building was composed of an 18th century brick stable, with a later flint lean-to constructed during the second half of the 19th century, which was later divided to make a tack room.
