Summary

The main block of Street Farm Cottages is all of one build, all three levels and the stack being integral, and dates to the late 17th century. The wing was probably originally a service wing contemporary with the main house, although the lack of a kitchen in the main house does suggest that the wing may have served that function. However, it cannot be ruled out that the wing was a three cell building to which the main block was added, no older than the early 17th century. The barn at the north may have been built when the house was subdivided around 1800.
