Full Description
1993. Metal detecting.
Complete medieval sword chape with elaborate openwork front plate (cast) with three double fleur-de-lis on long top edge. A ribbed band in relief below and an open trefoil in centre. Below a vertical ribbed bank. Knob at base. Sheet metal back-plate.
