Summary

A 17th or 18th century and later house, formerly a farmhouse. It was built around 1700 and was extended around 1800. The original section is red brick and has two storeys, an attic and a pantile roof. There is a sundial dated 1651 in the south gable; it may date the construction of the original section or it could come from an earlier building. The extension has two storeys.

November 1983. Listed, Grade II.
Former farmhouse. About 1700, red brick and pantiles. Two storeys and attic, extended about 1800 to north. Original façade of five bays to east, brick plinth, corbelled platband between floors, eaves course at eaves, clasping pilasters each end. 20th century inserted windows. South gable with two blocked attic windows. Central sundial dated 1651. Shaped gables each end with central stacks and platbands at eaves level. Tie irons in form of I G.

Presumably the listing inspector did not believe the entire building was as early as 1651, though the submitted drawings would be acceptable for that date.
