1 body sherd thick reduced hard sandy, ?Middle Saxon or ?Early Saxon.
2 medieval unglazed and 1 glazed Grimston body sherd.

NAU air photography shows a most odd winding feature across north side of field, resembling a mark made by pouring chemical onto the crop, yet abutting present road hedge at each end.
Suggested by D. Edwards (NLA) as an older road course.
D. Gurney, B. Cushion and E. Rose (NLA) cannot agree with this yet have no idea what this is.
