Summary

Metal detecting here in 1994 recovered a medieval coin, a medieval seal matrix with a squirrel motif and a single-ended awl/pricket of unknown date. Fieldwalking in the same area during 1997 retrieved sherds of Bronze Age, Roman, Late Saxon and medieval pottery.

Circular bronze 14th century seal matrix, missing handle on reverse. Diameter 17mm. *PRIVE SV (= I am private). Squirrel in centre. Found at [1]. Identified by S. Margeson (NCM).
Single-ended awl/pricket, sub-square section. Length 50mm. Unknown date.
