Full Description
Summer 1994. Casual Observation [1].
In river [Waveney] on Norfolk side, just north of Beccles Bridge.
Two groups of piles 7 to 8 feet (2.1m to 2.4m) apart. Each group consists of three closely-set piles, rectangular in section about 3 1/2 inches by 10 inches (9 cm by 25cm), thereby forming a near square about 10 1/2 inches (27cm) by 10 inches (25cm).
A wooden bridge is said to have been built here in 1296.
