February/March and March/April 1994. Metal detecting. [1].
1) Lead oval disc with a cast relief cross on one face. ?Trial piece. ?Medieval.
2) 11th century box mount. Ringerike style, two projecting animal head, 'ears' and larger animal head terminal. Two rivet holes, one with iron traces in body of mount near base, the other near terminal animal head. No flange. (S1) NCM.
3) One post medieval jetton, one post medieval coin. See lists in file.
4) Early post medieval buckle, engraved linear decoration on frame, incurved sides, double looped.

1) medieval ampulla, scallop shell//crowned W for Walsingham.
2) Early post medieval buckle frame, double-looped, with loops stepping inwards to join central bar.

1) medieval cauldron foot with V-sectioned leg and five vertical ribs or claws.
2) medieval ring brooch, simple type, wire pin, diameter 16.5mm.
3) medieval strap end, three-piece, two rivets, abraded knop.
4) medieval lozengiform harness pendant.
5) Seven medieval coins and 1 post medieval jetton. See lists in file.
6) Complete medieval locking buckle as (S2) plate XXVII, numbers 11 and 12.
7) Early post medieval sword-belt fitting, broken. Integral suspension loop, rectangular slot with diagonal hatching on half-round moulding on each side of slot. Elaborately cusped cut-out decoration on integral broken attachment plate.
8) Early post medieval circular buckle with moulded rosettes on frame. Diameter 45mm.
9) Early post medieval double-looped buckle.
10) Socket of Bronze Age spearhead, ?Late Bronze Age, opened, (S3).
All finds are bronze, except medieval coin.

April/May 1995. Metal detecting.

2) Early post medieval 16th century globular bell, stone inside, strap suspension loop. Compare with East Anglian Archaeology 58, number 1759.
3) 13th/14th century strap end plate, lozengiform knop, two rivets (one present). Slightly tapering. Compare with (S4) number 664.
4) Fragment of medieval barrel padlock.
5) Four medieval buckles: A) Kidney-shaped frame with incised grooves in outer edge, compare with East Anglian Archaeology 58, number147, 15th century.
B) Single loop frame with two lobes for strap next to attachment area, 13th/14th century. Cast, with sheet roller, and holes for bar/pin, raised leaf decoration on outer wide plate.
C) Fragment of 15th century frame with rocker-arm ornament.
D) 16th/17th century double-looped buckle frame with lobes at junction with bar and on outer edge of frame.
6) Iron medieval ?dagger, lozengiform section, narrowed end for handle attachment. 98mm long.
7) medieval mount, ?for harness, tapering with central shield showing lion rampant and fragments of red and ?blue enamel.
8) Fragment of handle?, ?Medieval furniture fitting.
9) Probably 17th century mount, ?hooked, central rivet hole and probably 3 holes in heart-shaped top. Compare with East Anglian Archaeology 58, number 259.

1) Three medieval coins.

3) medieval objects:
A) 14th century strap end with ogee opening at open end between two rivets. Panel at top decorated above pair of transverse lines with a double V-shaped motif around the central opening and an area around the 'V' of closely-spaced rocker-arm ornament. Broken forked spacer-plate with lobed terminal.
B) Rectangular mount, one end broken, other with rivet hole. Decorated with borders of rocker-arm decoration and an undulating line of similar decoration in centre, with rocker-arm motif on each side of central line.
Ampulla with circular pierced lugs, crown on one face, shield on other (chevron) on cross-hatched ground. Walsingham.
C) Two square buckles, iron pins.
D) Discoidal stud (or die?), shank on reverse. Decorated with shield below a 'palm' leaf. Shield has an upright 'palm' and a creature ?conchant lengthwise. These charges are incuse as if intended for use in stamping.
4) Early post medieval buckle, plate decorated with odd repousse boss assymetric frame with mouldings at each end of pin bar.

2) ?Medieval lead square plate with cast relief ornament in form of double quatrefoil with a cross in circle with ball terminals. ?A model for roof ornament or a 'patrix' on which to press sheet bronze.
3) 14th century simple ring brooch, with pin looped over.
4) 13th century buckle and plate, barrel-shaped moulded pin-rest. Five rivets in long narrow plate.
5) ?Medieval, roughly square lead plate, cross in relief.
