Summary
An Iron Age brooch found by metal detecting. The brooch is an early example of a hinged brooch, and the pin hinge was repaired with a wooden peg.

28 November 1994. Detector find in leaf mould beside riverside footpath. ?Dredged out.
La Tene I brooch, (S1), 'Wessex type' with dummy hinged spring and wooden axis bar (?repair).
