Summary

Metal detecting in 1994 and between 2022 and 2024 recovered Roman, medieval and post-medieval coins; a post-medieval token and a number of other metal objects, including an Early Bronze Age flat axehead; Roman brooches, a key and bell-shaped stud/furniture fitting; medieval horse-harness pendants, a strap end, lead weight and lead weight or spindle whorl; a medieval/post-medieval purse bar and a post-medieval coin weight, spur, dragon-head finial, silver cufflink or stud and lead trade weights.

Full Description

October/November 1994. Metal-detecting. [1].
Dragon-head finial on a narrow bar with engraved line spiralling around it. Early post medieval, ?part of an item of kitchen equipment.
Identified by S. Margeson (NCM).

1 post-medieval coin, a coin weight and silver cufflink or stud.
